Dear Geneva National Friends,
Spring is here and we will soon be welcoming back our summer interns and seasonal staff workers to Geneva National! These young adults, most with college aspirations, work tirelessly in the shadows cleaning golf clubs, shuffling golf bags and golf carts, working as servers or bussing tables in the Member Tap Room, etc. They play an integral role in enhancing the Club experience that we as GN Members enjoy during the busy summer season.
Every year since 2003, Members have donated money to reward these young workers with scholarships to help offset the rising cost of higher education. To date, we have provided more than $143,000 in college funding to 82 deserving students. Numerous scholarships, funded solely by GN Members, are awarded each year with the most deserving student receiving the Pamela & Garth Chambers Memorial Scholarship. This special scholarship was established in 2021 as a tribute to Pamela & Garth Chambers who were the heart and soul of Geneva National.
Please be generous in contributing to this worthwhile cause that has become an annual tradition in rewarding our young staff members for a job well done. Scholarships will be awarded on August 25, 2024 at the Member Staff Classic, an event you shouldn’t miss! (Be sure to mark your calendars.)
