Gerald J. Niewoehner, 79, of Lake Geneva, passed away on January 17, 2025, at Mercy Walworth Hospital.
Born July 13, 1945, Gerry grew up in the Dutchtown neighborhood of St. Louis. He earned his undergraduate degree at St. Louis University, his Master’s Degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and his PhD at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. He worked as a corporate psychologist for 40 years, for the business consulting firm Roher, Hibler & Replogle (now RHR International), and later as an independent consultant.
Gerry loved golfing, a love that his son and grandsons inherited. He was a longtime member of Geneva National Golf Club and resident of the community for 30 years. Gerry was an avid reader, a loyal Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, and a friend to many. In his retirement, Gerry was a wood worker and some of his favorite projects included making cutting boards for friends and family.
Gerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lou (nee Kennedy); his two children, his three grandchildren, one brother, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother.
There will be a private celebration of life this spring.
