TEAM GOLF SERIES
SUNDAY, AUGUST 4 | THIRD EVENT
|
The third GN Team Golf Series event, benefiting SOWF, took place on Sunday, August 4 on the Palmer Course. The 11 four-person teams were split into 2 two-person scramble teams, and their scores were combined to determine the team total. The teams were also aiming to accumulate as many points as possible before the final event on Saturday, September 7, competing for the championship prize - a trip to Orlando, FL to play at the renowned Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Golf Club. The DD’s team consisting of Mike & Bob Dvorak with Bruce Dale & Bill Clanfield clinched the victory by the slimmest of margins, 1/10th of a shot, overtaking series team points leaders The Boys of Summer with Jim Passi & James Matthews, and Tom Baird & Terry Periman. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
FRIDAY, AUGUST 16 - SUNDAY, AUGUST 18
|
A stroke play event with for both men and women, played over 2-3 days based on your division, followed by a post-play buffet lunch and awards ceremony on Sunday in the Pavilion Tent.
Compete against members with similar handicaps and strive to be crowned a "GN Club Champion"! The Regular (ages 18+) division will play three rounds, while the Senior (ages 60-69) and Legends (ages 70+) divisions will play two rounds each. The Championship Flights will be played without handicaps, with a gross champion only. In all the other flights, there will be both gross and net champions, and the same person cannot win both.

GN's time-honored Member-Staff Classic is when our Members traditionally switch roles with the staff who serves them, pair up to golf with staff, and contribute to raffle prizes.
If you’d like to play in the 9-hole event and attend the dinner, please register by clicking the register button.
If you would like to pencil yourself in for prep cook, bartender, beverage cart attendant, server, or club cleaner the paper sign-up is located in the Member Tap Room near the Member Desk.
We have been very fortunate this year to be fully staffed with so many new and returning associates at the ready to serve you. The Member-Staff Classic provides multiple ways to express your gratitude for their service.

In preparation for the August 25 Member-Staff Classic, we are accepting donations for the GN Member’s Scholarship Fund.
Scholarship donations must be made via check to “GN Scholarship Fund,” while raffle donations may be deducted from your Member Account by contacting Tim Nelson at 262.245.7072 or memberacct@gnresort.com.

The Ridge Hotel's outdoor saltwater pool will be closed until Friday, August 9 for maintenance. The indoor saltwater pool, co-ed sauna, and steam room all remain open for use. We apologize for the inconvenience. Indoor pool hours are 7am to 11pm.

NATIONAL DAYS - MEN
FRIDAY, AUGUST 2
|
The Annual Men’s National Day took place on Friday, August 2 at the Player Course. GN members and their guests took part in a competitive and fun format of 2 net best balls for the foursome. Participants were able to enjoy an on-course food station at the turnstand, followed by a fantastic dinner buffet in the pavilion after play. Additionally, there were five closest to the pin contests on the par 3 holes for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the golf shop. The winning team, consisting of member Ray Wenc and his guests Chris Fazendin, Anthony Razza, and Bob Daly, achieved an impressive score of -23. Congratulations on your outstanding performance! WEEKEND GOLF
SATURDAY, AUGUST 3
|
The Men's and Ladies' Weekend Golf took place on Saturday, August 3. Members played on the Trevino course under warm and humid conditions. The ladies selected their partners and played 1 Net Best Ball of the 2-some, while the men participated in a fun 6/6/6 format. In this format, they changed partners every 6 holes within their 4-some and took 1 Net Best Ball from each 2-man combo. The results and credit book winnings are listed below. Thanks to everyone who participated.
With only one event remaining in the 10-event series, we will bring the men and women together to form teams in a fun format for Week #10 on Sunday, August 11th. The event will start with an 8am Shotgun and will conclude with a cookout. After the game, we will hold the GN Member Putting Championship on The Dance Floor to determine the best putter. Winners of the championship will be awarded their parking spot in the Member Parking Lot.
